During a defensive struggle this weekend, the Denver Broncos clinched a close win over the winless New York Jets. Quarterback Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter scoring strike and kicker Wil Lutz provided the game-winning decisive three-pointer to secure the hard-fought win.

Dominant Display Wins Game

Even with recording nine sacks versus Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 following giving up a safety in the second half. Remarkably, the Jets managed a mere 82 total net yards during the entire game.

The Denver quarterback, who went 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, led a critical 12-play, 65-yard drive that ended with Lutz's 27-yard kick with just over five minutes remaining.

Historic Struggles for Jets Offense

Despite their horrendous offensive display, the Jets still had the ball with a chance to score a potential victory. However Fields was tackled on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn opted to go for it instead of sending out specialist Nick Folk for a difficult kick.

The Jets quarterback struggled all game, completing just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. The Jets ended up with minus-10 net yards passing, the lowest in any game since 1998.

"The aerial attack was non-existent," Glenn commented following the game.
