Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering over a popular coastal coastline suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators watched.
Videos shared on social media capture the aircraft commencing to spiral over the shoreline then descending near the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders stated five individuals were rushed to the hospital including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three people on the road were injured. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
Planned Function
The department indicated the helicopter was connected to an annual “Cars N Copters” charity gathering planned for Sunday.
